question: "What is Islam about a lie?"
answer: "1 The prevention or elimination [Arabic al-wiqaya.]: 'Al-waqy', 'al-waqiya' and 'al-Waqa''are all derivations from the root' preserve Waqa '[, . prevent] Allah said in the Quran: 'O you who believe, fear Allah, how to fear him truly want and do not die, God revealed're outside of it! "(Sura 3.102) Here is" ittaqa' [in the sense used by the fear of God]. . Fear of God and prevention are equally important, because both words are derived from a noun. Just as the cold with the help of thick clothing prevents or prevented, prevents you from Allah's torment with the fear of God and resists the arrows with a shield. In this sense means prevention [Arab. wiqaya] a measure that wards off something worse or prevented. Allah said about prevention: "The believers should not take unbelievers as friends instead of believers - and who does this has nothing to do with Allah - unless you care that you beware of them." (Sura 3:28).
The "taqiyya" is applied when necessary. Ibn Abbas [Muhammad's cousin, a prominent interpreter of the Koran and the sayings of Muhammad's narrator] said the "taqiyya" as follows: 'We speak words of [the denial of Islam], while inside a firm believer [in Islam]. " This Allah was also mentioned [in the Koran]: 'He who denies Allah, after he had thought - except when someone is forced while his heart has found peace in faith - no, the one who opens his breast to Unbelief, on the coming wrath of God. " (Surah 16.106).
second The word game [Arab. al-ma'arid] refers to a type of lie. It includes the utterance of a word that can have several meanings. This meaning the enemy is unsatisfactory, while he [the speaker] inside one of the other meanings of this word means. For example: If someone ask a Muslim, the Prophet [Muhammad] - Allah's blessing and peace be on it, denying - then he might say: 'I deny the prophets (an-nabiy). " Here, he says, but [as a second meaning of nabiy] a high place on earth.
third The adjustment [Arab. al-mudara]: It means the sacrifice of worldly life in favor of the Hereafter ... In contrast, the mean flattery arab [. al-mudahana] the sacrifice of Islam in favor of this life. The consideration is allowed, the flattery is prohibited. Allaah's blessing and peace be upon him - - 'A man wanted to meet with the Prophet of Allah when I was there [on: In the authentic tradition collection of al-Bukhari and Muslim traditional Aisha - - please Allah be upon you Muhammad was]. After Muhammad had him open the front door and saw him, he said: [This man] 'is the worst of this family. " When Muhammad was with him, he smiled [Muhammad] to him and treated him kindly. " When the visitors had gone, wondering Aisha: 'Allah's Prophet, when you met the visitor, You smiled at him! " He [Muhammad] said, 'Aisha, when did you seen me roughly? The worst person on the last day for Allah is someone avoid the people, in order to escape his evil .'... Abu ad-Darda said: 'We [Muslims] smile at people, while those in the heart [internally] curse. This is the meaning of the consideration (or adjustment) [Arab. al-mudara].
4th The lie [Arab. kadhib al-]: It is known that the lies [in Islam] is prohibited. However, it is allowed in cases that have defined some Muslim scholars, according to the authentic traditions in order to gain an advantage: 'It must lie in the war, because war is a fraud. We may lie to people to reconcile. A couple may be lying to each other, for example in matters of love, to allow more living together. " Some Muslim scholars allowed the lies about this [these three cases] out, and indeed, if can be achieved only by lying his goal. However may the lies here not to harm people. These [scholars] allow the lies also preserve a man from something evil. For example, is Allah's prophet - Allah's blessing and peace be upon him - the murderers of Ka'b b. al-Ashraf allowed to say what they wanted. Even Ibn Ilat lied to the people of Mecca to [with the permission of Muhammad], in order to get their money "
